“Implemented a complete SIP trunking solution”

THE SITUATION

As a provider of IT services and solutions, Optimus Tech Solutions is committed to using the latest technologies and taking that knowledge to our customers. So, when we moved offices in 2011, we knew it was time to improve our own communications platform to maximize our workforce’s flexibility and to enhance customer service and access.

THE SOLUTION

  • Build a complete internal VoIP solution with a SIP trunking solution to help run it, integrate it and increase functionality.
  • We partnered with Allstream, who helped us to perfect and customize this solution.
  • Implemented our SIP phone system – including SIP phones and trunks – fully enabling home office functionality and complete mobility for our workers while maintaining a main office presence.
  • Since implementation, several feature upgrades have been made on the phone system.

THE OUTCOMES

  • RETURN ON INVESTMENT – The system has been up and running for over a year now and our monthly spend is less than a quarter of what our bills used to be.
  • MOBILE WORKFORCE – The great mobility advantage allows us to work from our cars, homes and offices while always being connected.
  • INCREASED CONNECTIVITY – It’s a technology we highly recommend and we have already successfully implemented for several clients.
  • MINIMAL HARDWARE PROCUREMENT – As a result of this implementation, we were able to combine technologies onto a single unified communications platform.
  • COST SAVINGS – We were able reduce long distance expenses and significantly reduce our monthly telephone bills.
